A female pastor who was involved in an accident with a truck has lost her life.

It was a black Friday on November 21, as a female pastor and Founder of the Great Word Ministries based in Asaba, Delta State, Pastor Joan Godwin, lost her life alongside over 10 other passengers, when a truck belonging to billionaire industrialist, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, lost control and rammed into a bus they were traveling in.


According to eye witnesses, the truck crushed the Toyota Hiace bus the pastor and others were traveling in when its brakes failed.

Pastor Godwin, who hailed from Isiala Ngwa South Local Government Area of Abia State, was a kind and generous woman whose passion for God was unequaled. She will be laid to rest on Friday, November 27, in her hometown.
May her soul rest in peace, amen.

Christmas: Buhari Approves N72billion For Salaries (see chart)

President Muhammadu Buhari yesterday approved additional N71.8 billion to augment shortfall in the 2016 budgetary allocation for payment of delayed workers salaries, Daily Trust gathered. This will enable the government pay thousands of workers who are owed November and December salaries. The amount is part of the N213 billion virement assented to by Buhari yesterday, Daily Trust has learnt. Sources had initially told Daily Trust that the president had withheld assent because the National Assembly increased the budget by N33billion, but he was persuaded to sign the virement to enable some agencies pay workers salaries before Christmas. The Minister of Finance Kemi Adeosun had explained inability of some government agencies to pay November salaries saying the shortfall is to be augmented through the virement.
