Bode George, a former national deputy chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to spread his anti-graft campaign to his close associates two former governors of Lagos state, Bola Tinubu and Babatunde Fashola. Former PDP chairman said in a statement that it would be incorrect of Buhari to claim to be fronting an anti-corruption war and at the same time be considering Fashola for ministerial appointment in the light of the N78.3m of taxpayers’ money spending on his personal website. A 65-year-old cleric, Olowolade David Laizer, is seeking divorce from his fourth wife, Esther Anuoluwapo Laizer, after 31 years of marriage. Laizer, who has six wives, told a customary court sitting in Ikorodu on Wednesday that the 55-year-old woman lacks respect for the house of God. The cleric alleged that his wife rains curses on his church at the slightest provocation and had denied him conjugal rights for over a year. Laizer gave his church’s address as 8/4 Laizer Estate, Graceland, Bayeku, Ikorodu and said the couple’s problems started when they lost their first son in 2013. Election materials According to Vanguard, the Justice Muazu Pindiga-led tribunal sitting in Abuja dismissed the application filed by the opposition party and its flag bearer. The duo had filed against the election victory of Governor Nyesom Wike of the ‎Peoples Democratic Party asking the tribunal to direct INEC to relocate all the polling materials to Abuja for inspection by its legal team and forensic experts. Barrister Aisha Kalil Wakkil, a human rights activist with the National Human Rights Commission, who claims to be a very close confidant of Boko Haram foot soldiers, has said she knew some of the insurgents right from when they were circumcised. In a recent interview with Daily Trust, on Sunday, August 16, Wakkil, who has been peacemaking between the Jama’atu Ahlil Sunnah (Boko Haram) and the federal government for over five years spoke on a number of issues. According to her, the insurgents were very wonderful children and most of them lived in her house as it was open to all the children in that area.
